Session Description

Are you new to ARMA? Want to hear what’s been going on at ARMA International, what’s coming, and how it will benefit you as a member? Or, if you are interested in joining ARMA and want to learn more about the association, this meeting is perfect for you. Join us for an informal conversation with Executive Director, Nathan Hughes, and Immediate Past President, Michael Haley.


Speaker: Nathan Hughes

Nathan Hughes is the Executive Director at ARMA International. Since joining ARMA in 2015, Nathan has served on ARMA’s leadership team in a variety of roles providing strategic direction and leading initiatives throughout the organization. Previously, Nathan spent the majority of his career in both small and large corporations specializing in planning, guiding and implementing initiatives in operational functions, technology systems, and information governance initiatives.

Speaker: Michael Haley

Michael Haley, MBA, IGP is a Principal Consultant with Cohasset, Michael joined Cohasset Associates in 2002 as a Senior Consultant, following a career in the insurance industry. During that career, he developed and implemented an enterprise-wide records management program, for over 50 million client files and approximately 1,000,000 boxes of inactive paper records. As a consultant, Michael works with clients to assess their information management programs, preparing continuous improvement roadmaps and leveraging technology (e.g. M365) to apply automated retention controls to facilitate the appropriate handling of all information. Michael develops cost-effective and practical solutions, breaking down complex issues to effect simple solutions.

Speaker: Tricia Smith

As Vice President of Member Services at ARMA International, Tricia is responsible for developing and driving the strategy for membership engagement efforts. She also supports the associations component network to achieve that strategy, including retention and engagement of members, database management, member benefits, and communication for members. In addition, Tricia has served as National Board President of a non-profit professional business organization, and where she currently serves as a board member today.
