Information has never been more important and more confounding. Company records are a source of competitive advantage, the life blood of every organization and a major challenge to manage. Today, executives see information as a major asset and potential risk and are now asked to be something well beyond what they signed up for. This session is way beyond the record storage boxes sitting in off-site storage. We will go on a journey from where you were yesterday to where you need to be tomorrow. You will learn, hopefully you will be reinvigorated, and we will have some fun along the way.

Speaker: Randy Kahn

Randolph Kahn is the founder of Kahn Consulting, Inc. and is recognized across the globe as a leader in information governance. Mr. Kahn has advised the U.S. and foreign governments, courts systems, and major multinational corporations on a wide variety of information issues, including e-communications strategies, privacy, social media policy, information security, electronic signatures, records-management programs implementation, and litigation-response processes. Mr. Kahn has been an expert witness in major court cases. He is a highly regarded speaker and a two-time recipient of the Britt Literary Award. He has written numerous published works, including The Executive’s Guide to Navigating the Information Universe, Chucking Daisies, Email Rules, Information Nation: Seven Keys to Information Management Compliance, Information Nation Warrior, and Privacy Nation. Mr. Kahn teaches Law and Policy of Electronic Information at Washington University School of Law and The Politics of Information at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Kahn is a regular author for the American Bar Association / Business Law Today (Randolph A. Kahn, Author at Business Law Today from ABA).
