About the Speakers: Susan Gleason, Barbara Dalton, and Melvin Baskin
Susan Gleason, CIP, CRM/CIGO, IGP
Biography
Susan is the Head of Information Governance for Withers Bergman LLP. In a prior role, Susan managed the technology of the Global Legal and Compliance division of a multi-national corporation. Susan has her Masters in Technology Management from Brandeis University, and certifications of Certified Records Manager (CRM), Certified Information Governance Officer (CIGO), Information Governance Professional (IGP), and Certified Information Professional (CIP).
She is an active member of ARMA International and serves as a Chapter Advisor on the Chapter Advisory Committee as well as facilitates the Legal Industry Group with Barbara and Melvin.
Barbara Dalton, IGP
Barbara Dalton is the Director, Data Privacy and Information Governance at Norton Rose Fulbright and is based in Chicago. Barbara is a 30+ year veteran of the Information Governance arena. Her experience spans the Pharmaceutical, Government, and Financial industries, with the past 17 years dedicated specifically to Legal. She is a Chapter Advisor for the ARMA Chapter Advisory Committee and facilitates the ARMA Legal Industry Group with Susan and Melvin.
In addition to her passion for information governance, Barbara is an avid gardener and tireless advocate for animals, devoting her free time to Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue (MLRR), a 501c3 organization that finds forever homes for Labrador Retrievers. She lives in the Chicago suburbs with her husband and their Labs, Kaya and Daisy.
Melvin D. Baskin, ERMm
Melvin Baskin is the Director of Information Governance at Workday. With over 30 years of experience in information management, Melvin has established a reputation for leading teams and providing technical leadership across various sectors. He has over two decades of specialized expertise in managing legal records and document management systems, having worked with top law firms and corporate legal departments. His extensive background in the field positions him as a key figure in driving information governance strategies and solutions.
