    • Tuesday, May 21, 2024
    • 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Austin Energy Headquarters Auditorium 4815 Mueller Blvd. Austin, TX 78723

The April Austin ARMA meeting will be held May 21, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This hybrid in-person/virtual* meeting is free for chapter members and only $5 for guests. Lunch will be provided, or you can bring your own.

Please join Kimberly DeCola, Ricka Zobel and Vickie Stephens as they share a journey in cleaning up 59 years’ worth of records in a reference library.

As times changed, what once was a bustling engineering office gradually became a Power Plant reference library and oh, the stories this library could tell. Back before the days of computers and emails, when blueprints were still bluelines, and memos were typed…

Take a walk down memory lane with us as our team of five plus eleven volunteers and a village of others spent weeks packing boxes, sorting through file cabinets, writing inventories, processing disposal and a host of other tasks as we worked to empty out this place and properly process the records.
